This one being casually “Tock the Gnome” canon, though I feel like this is a Gnomish nobleperson having to harvest their own mushrooms last minute for an unexpected event.
The festival was so much fun, I’m so grateful to have been a part of it and gotten to meet so many kind and lovely people, and to have seen the joy of Steampunk spark in so many who hadn’t heard of it before!
Check out my story highlights on Instagram for some more about my weekend there – and to everyone who visited my booth and took something home, thank you 💕 I hope it brings whimsy and delight to your life and gets your own creative gears turning!!
My etsy shop will be back open by Wednesday, in the meantime here’s two Gnome Wings that found their homes already (named “Tea Key” and “Carnosmia”)!
Welcome to any new visitors/followers from the show, and thanks again to everyone who put the festival together. 🤞💗 for next year!!
Hey everyone! This exclusive new “Tock the Gnome” piece was finished up specifically for Gears to Corsets, Cortland County Steampunk Festival – which I will be vending at this weekend!
So a) expect some radio silence from me until Monday or Tuesday (including my Etsy shop being closed for the moment). And b) because show prep has kept me very busy this month, and thus delayed some Patreon bonuses, I’ve written up a patron-exclusive short story about this drawing! Available to all my patrons, at any level.
Hope you enjoy ❤ And if you’re in the central NYS area, hope you can stop by the festival! I’ll be there all three days (pushing Tock and Faerie whimsy, as always!).
Brightest blessings, everyone.
Time again ❤
I am facing a rough day, so I wasn’t sure what was going to come out on paper, honestly. I’m grateful for the tone of this (and the Tock the Gnome style, of course, what with steampunk show prep continuing, no matter what else is going on).
I am sad. And life is hard. But Love is true.
Happy Sunday Gnomedays everyone 🍃🍂🍃
I’ve missed drawing Tock while I’m working on the Orcish tent corrections – which I *am* enjoying, to my delight, but there is nothing quite like drawing Tock herself. So here she is with some Autumn vibes!
(For canon continuity, let’s say that she was at a fancy ball with her grandparents, but found it too stuffy and escaped to enjoy the Fall breeze outside the city while they weren’t looking. I wonder why there would be a cairn on the Gnomes’ mountain though, hmmmmmm…. 🤫).
More of Tock and the Orcish tent correction progress available over on Patreon, btw!
I’m working on lots of new things for the Gears to Corsets steampunk festival at the end of this month, including lots of new Gnome Wings! Those new ones are still very much WIPs, so in the meantime, here’s a couple others that I made earlier this year and didn’t get to share before now.
This one, called “Dashbrite,” was made for and sold to a dear friend (and has, sadly, already met it’s demise at canine hands…..or teeth. I will be remaking it for her sometime in the future).
This one, “Sunflower II,” was an overdue thank you gift for my amazing Wife. It is a smaller version of the original “Sunflower” Gnome Wings I made waaaaaay back for my first festival in 2016 (egads!).
This one, unnamed, is the first one I’ve made along steampunk lines!! I am very pleased with the result, and am very happy to be making even more of them right now. More on those WIPs as I get closer to the festival. (Also, this one happily sold at Salem NY Faerie Fest this year!)
And this one, “Wish,” was made with steampunk aesthetic in mind, but without the gears and keys. In the end, it seems to stand for energy – that wishful push within us when we think of what we want. Aaaaaand is still available for purchase here!
