Originally drawn as a very small ink drawing on the day of the presidential election, this past January. My very political godmother really liked it, and asked for one for herself, so here we are 🙂

I don’t speak much about politics on here, but I must say this was inspired by the darkness and fear so prevalent in the world today. May our hearts be on fire, and may we all be a Light in the face of that darkness.

Drawn for my mother, for her birthday early this last December.

…..she loves her mooses.

So I’ve recently been introduced to (and positively inhaled) the Blythewood Series by Carol Goodman. It was wonderful, and though I’m technically done reading it and don’t have a lot of spare drawing time right now, I had to get some of the characters – and the feel of the fantastic world – down on paper. I have a feeling they’re going to be with me for some time, and I am very grateful and inspired.

From top left, clockwise (hah) – Avaline Hall, Raven, a couple that may stand for any number of loves in the story, Helen van Beek, Nathan Beckwith, Daisy Moffat, and Featherbell. And throughout, the Shadows, of course.

From left to right – Miss Lillian Corey and Miss Vionetta Sharp.

“But how could I have even thought such a thing, when the only person I ever want to be with is you?”

If you’ve never heard of the series, seriously seriously go read it. It’s like Harry Potter, but with an all girls’ school and faeries!!!

Characters © Carol Goodman. Fanart by me, of course.

So I have been blessed enough to get to do some design work for a local production of “The Snow Queen” by The Cherry Arts 🙂  Many many many thanks to my friend Scott Hitz, of Pupphitz, for bringing me on. I’m extra excited and very grateful, in part, because this is among the fairy tales dearest to my heart.

Not to give away what they’re going to be used for, but here’s something from it ❤
