Blessed (slightly belated) Beltane, everyone!

Welcome Spring, and blessed be it’s Queen, who loves us SO much that she leaves her own beloved for months in order to give us flowers and sunshine and green.

(I was really struck about that while I was drawing this – yes, Spring is Her domain as it was before She married Hades, but Her Love for us is palpable to me. Surely She misses Him – and on this day of marriage of Lady and Lord, I had to show Him up looking up at Her, too – but Her devotion to us, in return to OUR devotion, felt so very strong and true as I was drawing this. Aaaaaaand it came out MUCH more impressive than I expected! So it gets a proper scan.)

Almost late, but Blessed Imbolc everyone 🌱🍃🌹

I wanted a break from doing fae-cultural specific Sabbat Sketches, so this year we’ll be focusing on Queen Persephone (who I’ve been blessedly drawn to lately) and Her cycle through the seasons with Her husband Hades and Her mother Demeter! I feel like it’s going to be a challenge, but I am quite excited and very pleased with this first drawing.

As for their cycle together, I believe right now that the King and Queen of the Underworld are enjoying one last sabbat together below, before Persephone returns to the world above, when spring fully blooms. 💗

Another post today, as I started a new sketchbook, so now She and a prayer to Her grace its first page 🌹 Been feeling so very connected to Her lately.

(If you’re new to my work, I perceive Her and Her Husband as Gnomes, btw. More of my work on them is available further down, but it’s been a while.)

Prompt – Myth & Lore. Honor to Persephone and Hades ❤
Full prompt list linked at the Shop/Contact tab above, through the end of the week, even though it’s the last day today. Just in case anyone is curious.
