Lines – Gnome Bonnet

Just playing with the idea of a Gnome's hat with a bonnet-like brim in front. I'm probably going to revisit this idea in another sketch or piece.

 

Commission – Gathering of the Elements II

A redo of an old, old piece I gave to a friend back in college, commissioned by the same friend after his cat destroyed a fourth of it.

Sad, but it gave me an opportunity to show how much I've improved since then

 

Sketch – Mrs. Bates

For the first half of the summer, I dealt with my "Once Upon a Time" withdrawl by catching up on "Downton Abbey."

…..Needless to say I'm totally hooked on that now too, and Anna and Mr. Bates are quickly approaching OTP status. So I had to draw them.

Not really satisfied with how Bates looks here, but I think if I keep picking at this I'll go mad, so yup.

 

Sketch commission – Le Sieur

Full name: Daniel von Diedrich de Le Sieur.

Second sketch commission for DarthVengeance0325 over at dA, of another of his original characters. He wanted me to draw someone wholly evil to juxtapose with his first sketch commission, which was about true love.

I must say I enjoyed the challenge, I don't draw people like this every day.

The pose on the left came after I drew their faces on the right, out of wondering how their heads would end up that close together.

Drawn as a gift for my amazing Aunt/Godmother, partly for her recent birthday but mostly as a thank you for opening her home to us for a fiber festival trip last fall. The title's a translation of her name.
